Lauding the role of senior citizens in the historic Sakala Janula Samme, Prof. Kodandaram and G Deviprasad appealed to various pensioner organisations to form pensioners JAC. The fact that more than four lakh pensioners out of a total of six lakh pensioners in government records belong to Seemandhra region goes to show the injustice meted out to Telangana in government jobs, JAC leaders felt.
Meanwhile, Telangana Electricity Employees JAC convenor K Raghu flayed the decision of the police for imposing restrictions near Vidyut Soudha from Tuesday. Telangana Jagruthi chief Kavitha and Balladeer Vimalakka who were supposed to participate in Raksha Bandhan programme organised by Telangana staff cancelled their plans. However, women employees tied Rakhis to their colleagues, policemen and mediamen present there.
