Historian RK Sharma passes away, Prof M Radha Krishna Sarma passes away. Paying tributes, Dept Head of AIHCAA Dr NR Giridhar described him as a great luminary and an inspiration to many professors, students and research scholars here in India and abroad.

Hyderabad: Prof M Radha Krishna Sarma, retired professor and founder member of the Department of Ancient Indian History, Culture and Archaeology (AIHCAA) of Osmania University and Professor Emeritus UGC, passed away on Wednesday at his residence following cardiac arrest.

RK Sharma, one of the stalwarts in the field, has guided scores of students and represented at many an academic conclave on numerous subjects. He was an authority on ancient history.

Paying tributes, Dept Head of AIHCAA Dr NR Giridhar described him as a great luminary and an inspiration to many professors, students and research scholars here in India and abroad.

“His death is certainly a great loss to the research work. It creates a great vacuum in the academic and research circles. Prof M Radha Krishna Sarma will always remain as a source of inspiration,” Giridhar said.
