Hyderabad: Governor E S L Narsimhan has asked Kiran Kumar Reddy to continue in the Chief Minister's post as a caretaker till alternative arrangements are made.

According to Raj Bhavan sources, Governor is expected to send his report on this to the Centre by Thursday. The Union Cabinet, which is expected to meet on Thursday, might take a call on whether to impose President's rule in the State or not based on Governor's report, sources said. Meanwhile, the General Administration Department (GAD) sources said that they did not receive any communication on the CM’s resignation from the Raj Bhavan.

Late in the evening, Kiran vacated the official residence and moved to his own house in Jubilee Hills. He will be functioning as the care-taker CM from there till alternative arrangements are made.
