Chinarajappa says Ravi was killed by political rivals

Anantapur: Deputy Chief Minister N Chinarajappa, who also holds the Home portfolio, has said that a decision on the issue of re-investigating the sensational murder case of Paritala Ravi, a former Minister and senior TDP leader, would be taken after a Cabinet discussion.

Speaking to media persons in Venkatapuram village in Ramgiri mandal in the district, he observed that Ravi was killed allegedly by his rivals because of his steep rise on politics. Earlier, he paid tributes to Ravi at his ghat.

He said that Ravi had created a sensation in the district after joining the TDP in response to a call given by founder-president N T Rama Rao. The Deputy CM inaugurated a new police station building in the Rapthadu Assemby constituency represented by Ravi’s widow and Civil Supplies Minister Paritala Sunitha. He alleged that the law and order situation deteriorated during the 10-year Congress rule. He said the government was cracking down on red sanders would constitute special teams to nab red sanders smugglers.
