Hyderabad: Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu seems to not only targeting the long term goals of the state, but also the party victory in the next elections.

He recently announced that the first phase of Andhra Pradesh’s new capital constriction will be completed by 2019, ahead of the next general elections. The strategy seems to be that the party will try to showcase the buildings completed in the first phase to the people of AP to win the elections for a second time.



The Chief Minister while addressing the media said that alleged that politicians were behind the Red Sanders smuggling mafia. “Many politicians are behind the Sanders smuggling. We are trying to stop the smuggling and generate the revenue through auctions,” he said.

He said that the first phase of the capital, comprised with key government buildings, along with the infrastructure related to social life, would be complete by 2019. He also said that the Vijayawada airport would be converted into a full-fledged international airport in the next six months.

“AP is facing several challenges and we don’t have a capital now. Vijayawada has been selected as the capital as it is in the central part of the state and accessible to all. A capital needs social life. We are working on making the Vijayawada airport fully operation in the next six months,” he said.
