On Wednesday morning, mild Quakes were felt in Prakasam and parts of Guntur district in Andhra Pradesh.
According to the National Geophysical Research Institute (NGRI) observatory in Hyderabad, with a magnitude of 4 on the Richter scale was felt at 6.09 am, the quake’s epicenter was near Ongole in Prakasam district.
NGRI chief scientist RK Chaddha said that the tremors were felt in the distance of around 60-70 km area from its epicenter. As the quake was of low intensity and the area is seismically active with small magnitude earthquake, there was nothing to worry he said.
As the quake was felt for around 5 seconds, there was no immediate report of damage to property or any loss of life.
