Women and child welfare minister Peethala Sujatha has landed in a new controversy following reports that she accepted a piece of jewellery worth Rs 90,000 and a silk sari from the employees of Women and child welfare department employees.
According to a report, the employees collected Rs 5000 from each person to gift a necklace and sari to the minister.
Reports also say that as many as 18 employees met the minister at a government guest house in Kurnool and presented her with gifts.
It is worth mentioning here that AP CM Chandrababu Naidu reprimanded Peethala Sujatha when she was felicitated with a piece of jewellery worth a whopping Rs 37 lakh by the Granite Miners’ Association of Chimakurthy in Prakasam district .
