Kurnool: People are being forced to repeatedly visit the revenue offices in the district to complete their tasks because of shortage of computer operators. In the absence of the operators, various works are getting delayed, adding to the woes of the people. Officials say they are helpless as their pleas to higher-ups to act have fallen on deaf ears. As such they are being forced to manage with the available personnel to do the job. The staffers currently on the job are allegedly lacking awareness, resulting in severe hardship to the people.

The VROs with some knowledge of computers have been using their staff as operators. Since this staff members are not professional and lack proper education, the work of five minutes is taking five or six days!. As a result, the services of VROs in their areas are getting affected. They are facing a tricky and difficult situation, with orders of the higher-up pressing for submission of timely reports, that too online, in view of the Janmabhoomi programme.

Consequently, they have to put up with the computer system getting stuck and lack of technical staff to handle the repair work. Officials assure that tests to recruit computer operators have already been conducted that the personnel would be recruited as early as possible.
