Roja's suspension causes a stir in the Assembly
While the Assembly Speaker Kodela Siva Prasada Rao stated that he has received the High Court order copy on Roja suspension, he said that the House would decide the future course of action on Roja suspension after the discussion on Monday as the Assembly had taken the decision to suspend the YSRCP MLA.

Challenging the High Court's Roja suspension verdict, the AP government moved a petition before the division bench. Meanwhile, the Privilege Committee of the AP Assembly will be holding discussions on Saturday regarding the High Court's verdict of revoking one-year suspension of YSRCP MLA Roja. TDP MLA Anitha, Roja and another YSRCP MLA Chevireddy Bhaskar Reddy have been asked to appear before the panel. However, it is learnt that Roja is not willing to make an appearance before the Privilege Committee.
Roja's lawyers, on the other hand, said that the AP Government defied Supreme Court along with High Court’s verdict by denying entry of Roja into the Assembly.
