New music academy comes up in Tenali
Later, Gadde Venkata Ramakumari Memorial Music Programme was organised by the new academy to mark the first death anniversary of the eminent musician.
Hemadri Music Academy was inaugurated by renowned violinist Annavarapu Ramaswamy at Chandrasekhara Yagnapaduka Mandapam in Tenali on Saturday. Speaking on the occasion, he lauded the initiative of H Sudarsana Sarma in establishing the academy to promote music.
Later, Gadde Venkata Ramakumari Memorial Music Programme was organised by the new academy to mark the first death anniversary of the eminent musician.
Hemadri Chandra Kanth who presented a violin recital, started off with ‘Endaro Mahanubhavulu’ Keerthana of saint composer Thyagaraja in Shri Ragam.
The violin concert featuring ‘Guruleka Etuvanti’ in Gowrimanohari Ragam, ‘Bhavanutha’ in Mohana Ragam, `Ksheera Sagara Sayana’ in Devagandhari Ragam, `Adamodi Galade’ in Charukesi Ragam and `Pavanaja Stuti Patra’ in Khanda Chapu Ragam showcased his musical talent.
He was ably supported by K Kamesh on mridangam and Sk Lalitha Manisha on dolu. HVRS Prasad, NPV Mallikharjuna Rao, Y Janaki Panduranga Rao and others were also present.
