Speaking on the occasion, he said that Gandhian principles are inevitable for every individual without which, the human survival on the earth would be a million-dollar question “It is time to preserve the environment, protecting  resources on the earth for future generations and for sustainable development.

Narsapur: A three-month certificate course in Gandhian philosophy was inaugurated in Sri Bandi Mutyalamma ZPH School in Mutyalapalli village in Mogaltur mandal on Saturday. The course was sponsored by Gandhian Studies Centres of Sri YN College Narsapur.

Speaking on the occasion, he said that Gandhian principles are inevitable for every individual without which, the human survival on the earth would be a million-dollar question “It is time to preserve the environment, protecting resources on the earth for future generations and for sustainable development.

Everyone has should develop self confidence to become an ideal citizen of the country. Gandhian principles like integrity, faith, self-respect and humanity are to be learnt by every student,” he said.

He called upon people to protect culture and tradition. He also said that the Gandhian principles help us to have peace in the society. Later he released the pamphlets published by the Gandhian Studies Centre.

In-charge headmaster KVV Satyanarayana presided over the programme. Gandhian Studies Centre director Prof D Venkateswara Rao narrated the aims and objectives of the course.

He asked the students to emulate the Gandhian principles, which can develop their personality. About 80 students have joined the course and it will be completed in October this year.

School teachers D Chintayya, U Rambabu, Prabhudas, Parvathi, Arogya Varshini College secretary Nagidi Rambabu and school students participated in the programme.
