Rajamahendravaram: Commissioner, Municipal Corporation of Rajamahendravaram, V Vijayarama Raju said that the attendance of students and teachers in the schools in municipal corporation limits would be registered through an app introduced by the MCR.

Speaking to reporters here on Saturday, Vijayarama Raju said he is getting the details of attendance of students and teachers in corporation schools by 10 am every day. He explained that the attendance of the students is increasing significantly due to this system and added that the steps are being taken to ensure teachers also reach schools in time. Stating that about 3,500 students out of 10,500 in municipal schools used to be absent in the past but constant monitoring reduced it.

To enhance the educational standards in schools, he said that supervisors have been appointed for primary schools and deputy DEOs have been appointed for high schools. He said that doctors who are working in urban health centres in the corporation have been directed to extend medical services in slum areas of the city at every day morning.
