Tirupati: A two-day national seminar on ‘trends in farm mechanisation’ will be conducted by Regional Agriculture Research Station (RARS) here on January 19 and 20.
Speaking to the media here on Tuesday, RARS Associate Director Dr TCM Naidu said the main agenda for the two-day seminar is discussing on engineering interventions for sustainable agriculture.
He stated that more than 200 agriculture engineering officials across the India will attend the two-day seminar and present research papers on latest trends in farm mechanisation.
“More focus on helping farmers to overcome the labour problems which turned more severe in farm sector,” he added.
Naidu said that Acharya NG Ranga Agricultural University Vice-Chancellor B Rajasekhar will be the chief guest for the inaugural and ICAR Deputy Director General Narendra Singh Rathore will participate in the valedictory.
As part of the programme, interaction between select farmers and agricultural engineers from various states will be organised and also an exhibition will also be held for the benefit of the farmers, Naidu said.
