Vijayawada: Tightening the noose around party MLAs and Ministers, Chief Tightening the noose around party MLAs and Ministers, Chief Minister and Telugu Desam supremo N Chandrababu Naidu warned them not to interfere in other constituencies.
Addressing the TDP state-level workshop here on Friday, he said that some of the MLAs are behaving unilateral and interfering in the activities of other constituencies, which should be rectified immediately. He also warned some of the MLAs for not coordinating with the party activities in some places.
There is lack of co-ordination between MPs and MLAs in some areas, which should be rectified, Naidu asked. “MLAs should co-ordinate with the party in their constituencies.
MLAs should also co-ordinate with MPs. The district and mandal presidents of the party should co-ordinate with MLAs. Similarly, the village-level leaders should co-ordinate with their higher leadership, which will strengthen the party from grass-root level as well as it will play key role in winning of MLAs and MPs,” he said.
Asserting that 80 per cent of people are satisfied with the ruling of TDP government, Naidu warned the party leaders that we will lose the confidence of the people if we make mistakes.
“We will lose if we committed mistakes and any mispropaganda will destroy our party image. The veterans in the party have rich experience, while the young leaders have technology.
We will go forward by co-ordinating both. Our efforts should be in such a manner that no other party should hope for coming to power in near future,” he said.
Recalling the humiliating defeat of the Congress party, he said that the grand old party even failed in securing 2 per cent of votes for taking anti-people decision.
“Strength of party functionaries alone could not bring any party into power. It was proved in case of Congress party. TDP leaders should not act against the aspirations of the people and will vote if they have confidence on the party.
TDP should continue in the power forever, which is my aim,” Naidu asserted. He stressed that it is not enough to be number one state in the country and opined there should be number one mandate also, he added.
“I save seen many elections when in power or in opposition. The results are depended on the actions of ourselves. The our behavior will also play important role in gaining the people`s confidence. People should appreciate and cadre should feel proud about our development schemes.” he said.
While asking the party leaders to leave their egos at home, he said all the leaders should unitedly strive for the welfare of the people.
“Egos will pull us down, so we better shun it. I don’t mind working with juniors and we can learnt a lot from them,” he opined.
While indirectly referring to some leaders who didn`t wear the party colour yellow shirts, TDP chief said that he will feel proud while wearing yellow shirts during party meetings.
“Wearing yellow shirt signifies the respect on the party and also it reflects our discipline and we need to set an example to others,” Naidu stressed.
While recalling the welfare activities taken up by TDP government, he said that despite the State facing Rs 16,000 crore fiscal deficit, the government has waived off crop loans and also loans of DWACRA women, keeping up the promise it made in its election manifesto,” he said.
The government is implementing several schemes for the welfare of the downtrodden people, Naidu said. We are completing the pending irrigation projects on warfoot and by constructing Pattiseema project in a time bound manner we have made the dream come true of linking up of rivers, CM said.
