Till now, there has been a yield of 480 bananas covering 11 rows without using any chemicals or fertilisers. It may be mentioned that Bhusawal is the biggest taluka situated in Jalgaon district in Maharashtra.

Vishweswara Rao is not only a farmer but also the TDP leader hailing from Achanta village of West Godavari district. He planted the Bhusawal variety of bananas on the premises of his garden. He brought the seeds from his relatives in Vijayawada and raised the bananas without using any chemicals or fertilisers. He made use of only vegetable garbage and the water after washing the rice used for the plant.

Speaking to The Hans India here on Sunday, Visweswara Rao said that he used only vegetable waste and other used up material to grow the bananas. The bunch of bananas that he raised was big in size and was very tasty, he added. He said that Bhusawal banana was very useful to diabetic patients and he would distribute them among the villagers including the diabetic patients.
