YSR Congress Party candidate Silpa Mohan Reddy filed his nomination on seventh day of filing of nominations on Friday for Nandyal Assembly by-election.

Kurnool: YSR Congress Party candidate Silpa Mohan Reddy filed his nomination on seventh day of filing of nominations on Friday for Nandyal Assembly by-election.

As many as 20 nominations have been filed for the bypoll up to Friday. The YSRCP has filed two copies, one nomination in original was filed by Silpa Mohan Reddy and one dummy copy has been filed by Kishore Reddy.

Prior to the nomination process on Friday, Silpa Mohan Reddy went in a procession to the RDO office from his residence. A large number of party activists participated in the rally. YSRCP leaders R K Roja and Ambati Rambabu accompanied Mohan Reddy.

During the entire duration of the rally, the YSRCP activists raised slogans hailing party chief Y S Jagan and Silpa brothers. After the party candidate filed the nomination papers, Ambati Rambabu exuded confidence that Silpa Mohan Reddy would secure a comfortable victory in the byelection. He said the people of Nandyal would teach a lesson to the ruling TDP.
