Chittoor: Minister N Amaranatha Reddy gave a call to party cadre to ensure TDP wins all 14 Assembly constituencies of the district in the next elections. The Minister participated in the district-level general body meeting of the TDP held at a private function hall here on Thursday. Addressing the party workers, Reddy stated that the TDP victory in Nandyal by-poll and Kakinada Municipal Corporation gave boost to party cadre to prepare for ensuing general elections.

He came down heavily on the Opposition party for hindering state development. YSRCP lost its vote base in the district, he said and added that several YSRCP leaders are waiting for green signal from Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu to join TDP. The Minister enlisted the achievements of the TD government in the last three-and-a-half years and made an appeal to party functionaries to create awareness among people about welfare schemes introduced by the government.
He assured of state government supplying drinking water to the district from Handri Neeva and Galeru Nagari projects. Several small and medium industries are ready to commence their operations in the district, he stated. The Minister exhorted party leaders and workers to reach out to people and explain developmental works of the TD government during Inti Intiki programme to be held from September 11 to October 31.
TDP district vice-president N Venkateswara Chowdary has urged the Minister to pacify dissident groups within the party. TDP MLC G Srinivasulu showered praises on Chief Minister for working relentlessly to develop the state.
MLC B N Rajasimhulu, ZP Chairperson Girvani Chandra Prakash, TDP MLAs Suguna and Sankar, TDP coordinator Surendra Kumar, former Rajya Sabha member Durga Ramakrishna, Chittoor Mayor K Hemalatha, TDP district general secretary Ashokananda Yadav and other leaders were present. TDP district president P Nani presided over the meeting.
