15 lakh worth red sanders logs recovered; 15 arrested
The Kadapa police arrested 12 Tamil Nadu wood cutters, and 3 wood cutters belonging to Karnataka on Wednesday and recovered 7 red sanders logs worth Rs 15 lakh, 7 mobile phones and a four-wheeler from them on Wednesday.

Speaking to the media here, Kadapa DSP Sk Masum Basha said three police teams have raided at various places in the district on a tip-off over illegal transportation of red sanders logs. The cops came across a four-wheeler transporting red sanders logs at Lakkamala forest in the wee hours of Wednesday and arrested them and recovered logs.
