First glued IOL surgery performed

Tirupati: Dr Agarwal’s Eye Hospital, temple city branch, has performed first of its kind procedure called glued IOL surgery in Tirupati on Monday. Glued IOL is a special technique for fixing the lenses inside the eye.
The glued IOL surgery was invented by Dr Amar Agarwal. Dr JS Reddy, Dr Sumanth Reddy, and Dr Ashar Agarwal from Chennai have operated the first case of glued IOL at Tirupati. The operation was performed on 37-year old female patient by name J Hymavathi.
