The Left parties including CPM and CPI called for total blockade of the National Highways (NHs) in the State on Wednesday. The city secretaries of two parties D Kasinath and D Shankar asked the people to extend support for their protest.  They said that they would stop vehicles at Kanakadurga Varadhi at 10:30 am as part of protest.

Vijayawada: The Left parties including CPM and CPI called for total blockade of the National Highways (NHs) in the State on Wednesday. The city secretaries of two parties D Kasinath and D Shankar asked the people to extend support for their protest. They said that they would stop vehicles at Kanakadurga Varadhi at 10:30 am as part of protest.

They said that the BJP was intentionally avoiding the no-confidence motion in Parliament. The implementation of AP Reorganisation Act and Special Category Status were rights of Andhra Pradesh, they said. They asked Prime Minister Narendra Modi to prove his sincerity by allowing the no-confidence motion in Parliament.

On the other hand, the YSR Congress, Congress, Jana Sena, Lok Satta and Aam Aadmi Party are also extending their support to the roads blockade. Jana Sena chief Pawan Kalyan requested the parties to block roads without creating inconvenience to the SSC students who are attending the exams.

CPI criticises KCR for dual stand: CPI State secretary K Ramakrishna criticised Telangana Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao for his dual stand on the no-confidence motion moved by the TDP and YSR Congress in Parliament.
