Visakhapatnam: As many as three dengue deaths were reported while hundreds of dengue and chikungunya suspected fever patients are undergoing treatment at various hospitals in the city and rural areas.
Though the district administration was assuring the people not to worry about the viral fevers, one more dengue death was reported on Sunday and the toll reached three till date.
A four-year-old girl Moshi died after suffering from dengue at a private hospital here on Sunday. The deceased, a resident of Gudiwada Appana Colony in Malkapuram in the city.
With severe fever, the girl was admitted to a local hospital for treatment a week ago. The local hospital doctors after providing treatment, they referred her to a corporate hospital for an advanced treatment. However, she died While undergoing treatment in the hospital on Sunday.
According to official statistics, over 230 dengue cases were registered till date and all the patients are undergoing treatment in the government and private hospitals in the district.
