Vijayawada: Finance Minister Yanamala Ramakrishnudu said that the government was maintaining all the State revenue and expenditure details including Centre’s funds allocation very transparently.

In a press release, he wondered as to how the BJP and YSR Congress leaders could ask the details of funds released by the Centre at present when the State was fighting against the Centre for justice. He suggested to the BJP leaders to ask the Centre about revenue deficit, Special Category Status and other pending issues of the State.

He took strong objection to the statements of leaders of BJP and YSR Congress. He wondered how the parties could ask the State government to release white paper on Centre’s funds release. The Centre did not release funds as per the AP Reorganisation Act, he said and added that the parties should have asked the Centre in this regard.

He said that the BJP leaders were misleading the people. The Centre released funds for roads, housing and employment guarantee scheme to all the States in the country, he explained. The Finance Minister said that the Centre did not release any special funds for Andhra Pradesh after the State bifurcation. The leaders of BJP and YSR Congress should ask the Centre about the details of funds categorically, he asked.

He also said the two parties can also make a comparison on the funds allocated to Bundelkhand and to backward districts in the State. Yanamala pointed out that the Centre had released huge funds for bullet train, Bengaluru and Mumbai cities.

Is there any comparison between the funds released for other States and Andhra Pradesh, he asked. He demanded that the Centre should release white paper on funds released for BJP-ruled States and non-BJP ruled States.

The special Act was passed in the Parliament during the State bifurcation for doing justice to Andhra Pradesh, he said. Yanamala flayed YSR Congress president Y S Jaganmohan Reddy and Jana Sena president Pawan Kalyan for acting as per the instructions of BJP.
