Police step up security to curb untoward incidents
The city police has deployed huge number of cops at prime junctions after they received an information that YSRCP fans and followers would create law and order problem in the city after their leader was attacked on Thursday at Vizag airport on Thursday
Visakhapatnam: The city police has deployed huge number of cops at prime junctions after they received an information that YSRCP fans and followers would create law and order problem in the city after their leader was attacked on Thursday at Vizag airport on Thursday.
Tension prevailed after a huge number of policemen were deployed at Anakapalle-Lankelapalem, Srinagar, Aganampudi, Gajuwaka, NAD cross road, NH-16, Maddilapalem, Jagadamba junction, Allipuram, Isukatota, Madhurwada and at other junctions in the city.
The police also stepped up security at all government assets to prevent untoward incidents in the city in the wake of attack on Jagan. After the incident took place on Thursday, some miscreants created panic like situation on social media.
Additional Deputy Commissioner of Police K Mahendra Patrudu urged the people not to be panic on the rumours spread in social media. He also said that city police had wrote a letter to social media giants to curb spreading false rumours and warned of stern action if they continue to spread such rumours.
