Vijayawada: The Andhra Pradesh Tourism Authority on Thursday announced the 3 finalists of ‘Andhra Idol’ who will perform and compete for the coveted title at the Amaravati Global Music and Dance Festival scheduled to be held on November 17 at Berm park, Bhavanipuram.

The Andhra Idol is a part of the Amaravati Global Music and Dance festival 2018 which will be inaugurated by Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu on November 16. Minister of Tourism Bhuma Ahkila Priya will also be present on the occasion. The finalists were selected at the auditions held at Ghantasala Venkateswara Rao Government Music College, Durgapuram on Thursday.

The finalists who battled it out till the end were A Jashwanth from Nellore and R Himani from Vijayawada in the age group of 5-12 years and MSJ Vaishnavi from Vijayawada and Meda Arya from Amalapuram in the age group of 12-25 years and Rajesh Nagavarapu from Vijayawada and M Pavani Mokkarala from Visakhapatnam in the age group of 25-40 years. The judges of the auditions were Madhavapeddi Suresh, renowned music composer, Tollywood.

Renowned Indian and International Artists from Carnatic, Hindustani, Bollywood, Tollywood, Pop, Jazz, Rock and Folk industry would perform at the Amaravati Global Music and Dance Festival 2018 in Berm park, according to Vijaya Bhaskar CEO Creativity and Culture Commission.
