There is a saying in Telugu Anni Danallokella Annadanam Goppadi which glorifies donors who pay for feeding the poor

Eluru: There is a saying in Telugu ‘Anni Danallokella Annadanam Goppadi’ which glorifies donors who pay for feeding the poor.

Nandyala Ramaraju (Hotlines Bakery Babu) and his cousin Sagiraju Applaraju (Singapore Appanna) of Jakkaram village in Kalla mandal proved that if anyone have the compassion for the underprivileged, one can do miracles by donating liberally.

Bakery Babu was moved by the plight of handicapped children when he visited Arunodaya Manovikasa Kendram in neighbouring Pedamiram village on Independence Day three years ago.

He used to donate for the elders who were deserted by their children and relatives.

The very day he talked to his cousin Appanna and started sending lunch and dinner for 50 children and 50 aged persons in their village.

The duo prepares food in the bakery itself and send the same in Tiffin boxes. Food two times a day would be delivered to destinations in a vehicle.

“Providing food two times a day to about 100 persons gives me a lot of satisfaction, even though it was financially difficult task,” said Bakery Babu.
