Amaravati: The strategic introduction of another member from Nandamuri family into politics brings significant changes in Telangana and Andhra Pradesh politics, it is opined.
NandamuriHarikrishna’s daughter Suhasini filed nomination as TDP candidate from Kukatpalli constituency in Hyderabad for Assembly elections in Telangana on Saturday. She was accompanied by Hinduparam MLA and her uncle Nandamuri Balakrishna.
Idea behind her nomination is not confined only to win in the constituency, but Chandrababu Naidu sent a strong message to TRS president K Chandrasekhar Rao and BJP in Telangana and Jana Sena in AP.
With the decision, Chandrababu Naidu indicated that he would strengthen the party in Telangana. The demand of Telangana TDP leaders that representation of Nandamuri family in the state, is also fulfilled. In addition, the migrants from AP in Telangana will support the party again.
It is learnt that the responsibility of her winning was put on the shoulders of film stars and her brothers NandamuriTaraka Rama Rao, popularly known as Jr NTR and Kalyan Ram.On Saturday both thebrothers wished success to her in the ensuing polls.
With this development, the TDP leaders are expecting that Jr NTR and Kalyan Ram will campaign in Telangana and alsoin AP. If they campaign, it would be an advantage for the TDP.
It is to be noted that there were some political differences between Nandamuri family and Chandrababu Naidu family in the past. In fact, Jr NTR campaigned for TDP during 2009 general elections, but remained silent during 2014polls .
The differences between the two families were reduced after the sudden demise of Harikrishna. Chandrababu Naidu along with his family members spent good time with the Jr NTR and Kalyan Ram and gave moral support to them. Now, the introduction of Suhasinibecomes major bonding factor between the two families.
On the other hand, the BJP has been using DaggubatiPurandeswari, daughter of TDP founder NT Rama Rao, as trump card in AP against Chandrababu Naidu. With the rejoining of Jr NTR and Harikrishna family into the TDPwould become a strong force against the BJP.
Chandrababu Naidu has another advantage. He can balance the influence of Jana Sena president Pawan Kalyan on the public by promoting Jr NTR in AP. Though, Suhasini confined to Telangana, the TDP could use the services of Jr NTR in AP at appropriate time, says a senior leader from the party.
