Players selected for athletics championship in Vijayawada
The Krishna University announced the names of the selected players who would participate at the All India Inter University Athletics Men and Women championship for the year 201819 which would be organised by the Mangalore University, Karnataka
Vijayawada: The Krishna University announced the names of the selected players who would participate at the All India Inter-University Athletics (Men and Women) championship for the year 2018-19 which would be organised by the Mangalore University, Karnataka.
The championship will commence on November 24.The names of the selected players representing the Krishna University Athletics (Men and Women) teams are as follows.
Mens Team: G Ravi Chand, S Prem Kumar, DV Subba Reddy and P Siva Kumar from Andhra Loyola College, Vijayawada, K Kishore, B Pradeep Kumar and V Srikanth Kumar from Dr Zakir Hussain College, Ibrahimpatnam, M Ajith Prathiban from Satavahana College, Vijayawada, K Srinu from P B Siddhartha College of Arts and Science, Vijayawada and A Muneendra Kumar from AG and SG Siddhartha College, Vuyyuru.
The selected players for the women team are D Jyothika, Y Naganjali and R Alekya from SDMS Mahila Kalasala, Vijayawada and V Priyanka Vijaya from College of Physical Education, Nunna.
Earlier, the coaching camp for the above team was held at ANU, Guntur from November 16 to 21. The coaches of the teams are D Vinayaka Prasad and Sai. P Chandrababu was nominated as Manager.
Prof S Ramakrishna Rao, vice-chancellor, Prof Pulipati King, registrar and Dr N Srinivasa Rao, secretary, sports board, Krishna University, D Bala Krishna, Principal AG and SG Siddhartha College, Vuyyuru, extended their wishes to the athletes to perform well.
