Pithapuram/Rajamahendravaram: Describing YSRCP as a drama company, IT minister Nara Lokesh said the party played three dramas after receiving script from Delhi.
Addressing the valedictory of Janmabhoomi-Maa Vooru at Pithapuram on Friday, he alleged that Prime Minister Narendra Modi was trying to dilute the cases against Jaganmohan Reddy. Lokesh also accused Modi is working against the AP government with the help of opposition parties.
The minister said that TDP chief N Chandrababu Naidu would decide prime ministerial candidate in 2019 general elections. He inaugurated various developmental works along with Deputy Chief Minister N Chinarajappa and MLA Varma in Pithapuram. In Rajamahendravaram, Lokesh launched Chinturu Tasar Silk sari and inaugurated city badminton court of municipal corporation and a park of Godavari Urban Development Authority.
On the occasion, he said that the government was keen to encourage 5,000 brands of rural products in the state. He said the Chief Minister was very much particular in this regard and was giving subsidies to the respective sections. Stating that the just launched silk sari was good in quality, he underlined the need to explore export opportunities for it.
Lokesh said the income of tribals of four mandals in Chinturu will be enhanced from existing Rs 30,000 per hectare to Rs 85,000 and the goal was to take to Rs 1.50 lakh. Araku coffee is selling on a large scale in UK because of its quality, he noted.
AP Legislative Council deputy chairman Reddy Subramanyam, Deputy Chief Minister Chinarajappa, MLC A Appa Rao, GUDA chairman Ganni Krishna, rural MLA GB Choudary, , mayor PRS Sai, collector Karthikeya Misra and others were present.
