Agriculture Minister Somireddy Chandramohan Reddy said that 105 Paddy Procurement Centres PPCs would be opened across the district by February 25 He formally launched the PPC at Madamanur in Manubole on Monday and said Agrade paddy would be paid Rs 1,770 per quintal and Rs 15,045 per putti
Nellore: Agriculture Minister Somireddy Chandramohan Reddy said that 105 Paddy Procurement Centres (PPCs) would be opened across the district by February 25. He formally launched the PPC at Madamanur in Manubole on Monday and said A-grade paddy would be paid Rs 1,770 per quintal and Rs 15,045 per putti.
The Minister stated there is a price of Rs16,000-17,000 in open market and said the government is ready to procure any quantity of paddy through the PPCs. He said that they had resolved issue of grading Jilakara Masoori variety and offered bonus of Rs 210 per quintal last year.
Somireddy dared the Sarvepalli MLA to prove how much bribes he had collected from the millers in the district. He said they had brought 48.5 tmc feet of water to Somasila reservoir for safeguarding running crops in the district. He said that he has submitted resignation to MLC position expecting support from the people of Sarvepalli.
