Kadapa: Tension prevailed for some time when YSRCP leaders were obstructed from entering Sunnapurallapalli village in Jammalamadugu mandal on Saturday.

According to sources, YSRCP Assembly candidate Dr Sudheer Reddy, former Kadapa MP YS Avinash Reddy and party leaders came to Sunnapurallapalli village at 10.45 am.

Some villagers, who were followers of Marketing Minister C Adinarayana Reddy have prevented YSRCP leaders from entering village. At this juncture, the Minister’s followers and YSRCP leaders have exchanged heated argument.

Coming to know about the incident, police from Jammalamadugu rushed to the village brought situation under control by taking few of them from both sides into custody.

When contacted by The Hans India, YS Avinash Reddy said that they have went to village to conduct a meeting on the request of villagers loyal to the YSRCP.

He alleged that few families belong to Minister have obstructed the YSRCP leaders from entering village. Meanwhile, the police officials have imposed section 144 to protect law and order in the village.
