MUMBAI: Extending yesterday's gain, the BSE benchmark sensex rose over 58 points in early trade on Wednesday
on selective buying by funds amid a mixed trend on other Asian bourses.
The 30-share index, which had gained 19.25 points in the previous session, rose further by 58.28 points, or 0.29%, to 19,978.49 with stocks of realty, capital goods and banking sectors moving up.
The National Stock Exchange index Nifty also gained 14.55 points, or 0.25%, to 5,907.00.
