Reheating furnace commissioned, Steel secretary Rakesh Singh on Tuesday commissioned the reheating furnace of the newly built structural mill at Visakhapatnam Steel Plant (VSP).
Visakhapatnam: Steel secretary Rakesh Singh on Tuesday commissioned the reheating furnace of the newly built structural mill at Visakhapatnam Steel Plant (VSP). The structural mill was constructed at a cost of Rs 1,260 crore in the expansion of 6.3 mtpa. The high speed, two-high compact mill with 17 rolling stands, will produce 7 lakh structurals per annum in the product mix of medium, light, junior channels/beams, equal and unequal angles, flats, rounds, squares etc. The Danieli (Italy) & Micco constructed the mill with latest technology.
