Syndicate Bank gets new MD. Arun Shrivastava has assumed charge as Managing Director & CEO of Syndicate Bank on Friday.
Hyderabad: Arun Shrivastava has assumed charge as Managing Director & CEO of Syndicate Bank on Friday. Prior to joining the bank, he was Executive Director of Bank of India (BOI), looking after finance, strategy & panning and a host of other key portfolios of the bank. He also handled Foreign Subsidiaries such as BOI Indonesia and Botswana, in addition to the India Zambia Bank, a joint venture initiative.
A Post Graduate in Science, he is also a Certified Associate of Indian Institute of Bankers and AIBM. Shrivastava started his career as Direct Recruit Officer in Bank of Baroda (BoB) in 1979. He has been a professional banker for over 36 years with varied experience. He worked as Managing Director of BoB’s subsidiary in Kenya and also as Director on the Board of bank’s subsidiary in Uganda and Tanzania.
During his tenure, Bank of Baroda (Kenya) Ltd was awarded ‘Most Efficient Bank’ and the ‘Best Bank’ in Kenya. Prior to his elevation as Executive Director, Bank of India during August 2013, he was General Manager, Wholesale Banking at Baroda Corporate Centre, Bank of Baroda, Mumbai.
