NEC signs agreement with APTech Services. Andhra Pradesh Technology Services Ltd and National Electronics Corporation (NEC) signed a Memorandum of Understanding in the presence of AP Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu and METI State Minister Yosuke Takagi.

Hyderabad: Andhra Pradesh Technology Services Ltd and National Electronics Corporation (NEC) signed a Memorandum of Understanding in the presence of AP Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu and METI State Minister Yosuke Takagi.

As part of the MoU, NEC will collaborate with APTS in various activities including Smart City project at Tirupati. It was decided to form a steering committee with representatives from APTS and NE, says the official press release here.

On the third day of his sojourn in Japan, AP Chief Minster N. Chandrababu Naidu had six meetings with top officials of various firms, including executes of JGC Corporation, which operates in petroleum, power, water, new energy and industrial park sectors In India from Chennai.

Naidu invited the company to explore setting up of a petrochemical corridor in Andhra Pradesh, while briefed them about the huge gas and oil reserves in KG basin. JGC Corporation chief said his company was keen on setting up a refinery and cracker unit in Andhra Pradesh.

The company representative Director Masayuki Soto said the company wants to partner with Andhra Pradesh in food processing sector. Further Toshiba executives gave a presentation on smart power management. Chief Minister Naidu suggested Toshiba to commence a pilot project in Vizag on the lines of Fuji Electric in Vijayawada.

Naidu also had meeting with COO of Honda Motor Shinji Aoyama and invited the Japanese automobile giant to set up a plant in Andhra Pradesh. He explained about the opportunities for automobile manufacturing in the State and how auto companies could use the State as a manufacturing hub and export it to the Asia-Pacific region.
