Hyderabad: Telangana government is gearing up to organise soft-launch of T-Hub incubation centre on October 1. The inauguration of the centre which was earlier scheduled for September 7 was postponed due to non-availability of chief guest and Tata Sons Chairman Emeritus Ratan Tata. The government now wants to organise soft-launch before going for full-fledged inauguration at a later date.

“We are planning to hold soft-launch on October 1 and immediately after that startups will start operating from the centre,” Jayesh Ranjan, Secretary, IT&C Department, Telangana, told media after inaugurating 10th edition of IT Asia 2015 here on Thursday. He further said that an incubation centre for electronics would also come up at T-Hub to encourage startups in electronics and hardware space.

According to him, companies from Taiwan and China are showing interest in setting up an electronics park in Telangana and companies from these two and other countries will establish plants there. Meanwhile, the three-day IT Asia 2015 show is bringing together IT companies, industry bodies and government departments that are associated with electronics and hardware sector.

Organisers are holding nine concurrent shows, conclave on IT & electronics manufacturing and a workshop on intellectual property rights. Hardware industry body MAIT is organising the trade show in association with Telangana government. “MAIT is excited about partnering with Telangana and bringing IT Asia 2015 to city. Keeping in mind the ‘Make in India’ dream, we at MAIT focus on encouraging entrepreneurship within the ICT Industry,” said Anwar Shirpurwala, ED, MAIT.
