“I am glad you noticed! I have been working out and havebeen careful about my diet too,” says the actress who interactedwith the media to promote an upcoming film, ‘IntelligentIdiots’, in which she has performed an item number.Having shot for the song around six months ago, Swetha saysshe gave a not because she liked the song.
“It was peppy and also was animportant part of the story and so I said yes,” she shares. However, it cameas a surprise that the movie seemed to run on her shoulders consideringshe has a screen time of a few minutes. “What’s wrong with that? Whycan’t I promote the film? I am a part of it and so I would be more thanglad if my promoting the film would make any difference to it,” sheavers.
But other than the film, though Swetha wasn’t very keen to speakabout the sex racket scandal she was involved in, on prodding shereplied, “I saw reports in the media with what was supposedly my statement.However, the truth is I never said any of those things. After thenews broke out, I had no interaction with the media till I wrote anopen letter where I clearly maintained that I was framed. Other thanthat, I would like to speak nothing more about the issue.”
Now that she wants to make a comeback into films, has she signedanything yet? “I am in talks with several filmmakers but I haven’tsigned anything.
I hear reports that I have been approached by somany people from the Telugu cinema industry. However, the truthis I have spoken to no one except Vishnu Manchu. I didn’t sign anything with him though… we just had a conversation about a possible collaboration,” she signs off.
