How do you manage your time between two important shows for the television?
It depends upon the priority. I give priority to that role where the character needs me more.

How similar are Raja and Gopi to Priyatham?
Raja and Gopi are characters that are very close to me. Raja is a rough character whereas Gopi is soft. But Priyatham is not like Gopi, and I never can be like Gopi who is always very calm and patient in life.

What did you learn from the two characters, Raja and Gopi?
From Raja I learned to be good to people even though they do bad. From Gopi I learned to love myself, fellow beings, and to value emotions.

What is in store for your fans in the show?
In ‘Puttinti Pattucheera’ I have no role right now, and I am not playing any track. In ‘Manasu Mamatha’ I want to portray much heroism but now if you see, Raja doesn’t open the truth as he doesn’t hurt his family. At the same time, I can’t share anything because TV shows run according to the fans’ interest and everyday there’s a new schedule. Right now, I am also waiting for everyone to know the truth about Raja.

What homework do you do before accepting a role?
For shows I don’t do much homework. Whenever a director wants me to do a role, I take some time to understand what is expected of me and how to connect with the audience.

Was there ever a time when you thought your job is very difficult?
Sometimes! In the field of media, hard work also needs smart work. Hard work always pays, but the people who are smart enough know how to use their hard work and they will be fast in grabbing opportunities than people who simply work hard.

You’ve been a hero in a short film ‘Inthalo Enni Vinthalo’, now when can we see you as a hero in a full-fledged film?

Well, at this moment I can’t say anything. Everything is on trails.

In the show, you have action sequences. Did you learn those stunts?
No, I never learned any stunts. From childhood I use to watch lot of action movies and I use to try them at home so those stunts help me today. But yes, I do rehearsals before the action sequences.

How did you feel when you learned that your wife Manasa debuted in the television industry as your onscreen wife too?
It is a great pleasure to see Manasa as my life partner and onscreen partner in ‘Puttinti Pattucheera’. When doing any intimate scene there is no discomfort.

‘Manasu Mamatha’ lead character Raja gave you immense popularity, how do you feel when you read fan messages?
I am delighted to read the fan messages and I reply to them. The way they shower love on me is something I never can express in words. More than me, they get connected with my character, and that makes me feel good.
