Nikesha loves playing a cop

That Nikesha Patel, who is staging a comeback in Tollywood with Sairam Shankar’s next, will be seen as a tough cop is a known thing. The actress, who has sizzled in glamorous roles hitherto, will get into some serious mode in the under-shoot film directed by Wasudev, a debutant.

Throwing more light about her role, Nikesha says, “I have been waiting all this while to grab an intense role in Tollywood and finally I got one (smiles). I played a fake cop in my earlier films but this is the first time I’m getting into real khaki mode. I’ve enjoyed enacting in action sequences as I always wanted to play a cop! I love roles that put me on an edge and this one satiated my creative appetite.”

As a part of prepping up for the part, Nikesha admits to have watched several cop flicks. “I have watched several Indian female cop films to find out the body language of women and understand them better. I have even lost a few kilos. I now look leaner and it has made a huge difference to my outlook,” she exults, adding, “But my styling hasn’t changed much, except for my hairdo.”
