Actor John Kokken has been roped in to lock horns with Aadi in ‘Chuttalabbayi. A regular fixture when it comes to playing the baddie in Telugu films, John has replaced the first choice Upen Patel in the Veerabhadram directorial. “Yes, John is on board. He is the main villain and will join the sets shortly. The director has designed a very powerful character for him,” said a source.

When contacted, John said he is on board. “I play a villain with rugged look. The unit wanted someone who looks a little large and is on the meaner side. I’m glad I’ve matched their requirements. I will join the sets on May 2 and I’m quite thrilled about the film and my role. I’m also required to brush up Godavari accent,” he said.

John, who was recently seen in ‘Sardaar Gabbar Singh’ as Pathan, is also playing a supporting role in NTR-starrer ‘Janatha Garage’. “I play the role of a Sardar who is a part of the gang involving Mohanlal, Rahman, Brahmaji and Ajay who run the garage. It’s a positive role but I can’t talk much about it,” he said.
