Aakash (Puri Jagannadh’s son), who made his screen debut with ‘Andhra Pori’ is now prepping up for his next film. Apparently, he is undergoing training in Muay Thai, the combat sport of Thailand. Akash says that the film would be an action-oriented one and as such training to get a lean body.

“My dad has advised me to learn Muay Thai because it is a sport that helps me in doing action sequences. It is a 45 days course and I shall wrap it by next week. I am practicing for two hours every day and I’m feeling great. I have come down 8 kilos, and looking lean. It was tough to stay away from my parents, but I am getting great exposure,” explains Aakash.

The actor followed a strict diet regime during this course. “After ‘Andhra Pori’, I was out of shape and realised how fat I am only after coming here. I used to eat oats and fruits for breakfast, boiled vegetables and soup for lunch while dinner includes grilled fish and salads.”

Aakash is also enrolling in New York Film Academy for a two-year acting course. “I want to learn the nuances and get a better insight on acting, so I am getting into the University in July.” So is Puri Jagannadh directing the film? “Yeah, hopefully,” smiles Aakash.
