Kabali director pockets 10cr
Despite his last film Kabali bombing at the box-office, director Pa Ranjith reportedly pocketed a hefty pay cheque of Rs 10 crore, to direct superstar Rajnikanth in the film being produced by Dhanush and Rajni’s family.

“Ranjith is a talented director and deserves this pay cheque,” says a source from Chennai and adds “He is capable of shooting films within a specific time frame, cutting down on costs and has displayed the knack of extracting an understated performance from Rajni in Kabali.”
The young director came into limelight with “Atta Kathi’ and “Madras” but Kabali brought him into the national reckoning. Apart from drawing a double digit remuneration, the director is glad that he has got an opportunity to work with his favourite star Rajni within a short time span and is truly on cloud nine.
