A 16-year-old girl was allegedly gangraped Yendagatla village, Mahbubnagar district of Andhra Pradesh, police said today.
The incident occurred last night when the victim, a daily-wage laborer, was going to attend nature's call, they said.
Three men, identified as Srisailam, Umapathi and Devraj, followed the girl and dragged her into bushes and one of them allegedly raped her, while two others held the girl tight and helped the third, police said.
The girl shouted to draw attention. When villagers rushed to her rescue,the three fled, police said. However, the police arrested all the three and various cases were filed against them under IPC.
The victim was sent for medical examination.
