A female passenger was allegedly raped by the auto-rickshaw driver after being forced to drink alcohol. According to police, the accused, Siraj, took the woman to an isolated place near Janakama Thota on Friday late night and forcibly asked her to consume alcohol and after that he raped her when she was in an inebriated condition.
On Saturday, she broke down and told her family about the incident. After which, the family members took her to Jubilee Hills police station where a case of rape was registered against the accused. The police are investigating the case and are awaiting the victim’s medical report, the police confirmed.
