Hyderabad: Minor boy raped, killed

Chandanagar: At last on Friday, the Chandanagar police have solved the mysterious case of the death of Krishna Thapa who died in a mysterious way before 17 days. They confirmed it as a murder followed by rape. The accused has been sent for remand on Friday.

According to the police, Shyamlal Thapa with his wife Sageeta Thapa and their son Krishna Thapa have been residing near Saisri Apartment at Nallagandla. Raman Patel originally hailing from Bihar, who has been working as a daily wager in Saisri Developers, has been close to the family of Thapa for being their neighbour.

On February 4, Shyamlal Thapa left for Puttaparti on work. On February 12, when Sangeeta Thapa went for her work, Krishna Thapa stayed alone at their home. In the pretext of getting a chocolate for him, Raman Patel took Krishna to nearby bushes and assaulted him sexually. The victim started screaming. Out of fear, Raman Patel killed Krishna Thapa by tying the Necker to his neck.

Shyamlal returned back home on February 14. Then, he was informed by his wife that Krishna was missing for last two days. They searched for Krishna for four days but to no avail. They then made a complaint with Chandanagar police on February 18. It was on February 22, the dead body was found by the police. From the time the complaint was filed with police, Raman Patel was absconding. Police carried out investigation in that viewpoint and caught hold of the accused on Friday. During interrogation, Raman revealed that under the influence of alcohol he raped and killed the boy.
