Chennai: 10kg Gold Seized at Different Airports. According to the sources at Chennai and Tiruchurapalli airports, a huge quantity of gold (10kg) of worth Rs 3cr was seized by the customs officials.
Hyderabad: According to the sources at Chennai and Tiruchurapalli airports, a huge quantity of gold (10kg) of worth Rs 3cr was seized by the customs officials. As much as 7.5 kg gold was seized from three passengers arrived at Chennai airport from Kolkatta on Sunday night, while 2.5kgold was seized from a passenger at Thiruchurapalli airport.
For quite some time Hyderabad’s RGIA has been the gateway for gold smuggling. It appears that the smugglers have changed their gateway and shifted it to Tamil Nadu. The recent smuggling activities give us the evidence for the same.
