With the arrest of two women on Tuesday, Mahankali crime team claimed to have busted a gang which robbed valuables and cash by diverting the attention of the people. According to police, the gang was busted with the arrest of Baddhi Laxmi alias Laxmamma, 52, and Allam Mani, 45, both natives of AP.

According to police, the gang was busted with the arrest of Baddhi Laxmi alias Laxmamma, 52, and Allam Mani, 45, both natives of AP. Acting on a tip-off, police arrested the duo who was involved in three cases and recovered two tolas of gold and Rs 86,000 from their possession. “The duo has confessed committing thefts in the city. They targeted busy places like General Bazar and Subhash Road and commit thefts by diverting the attention of people," Additional DCP (North) PY Giri said.
