Continuing its crackdown against anti-social elements, the Central Zone police conducted a ‘cordon and search’ operation at Abids on Monday evening. The police conducted the search operation and enquired if any newcomers were visiting and taking shelter in the areas. During their ‘cordon and search’ operation, a team headed by DCP (Central), VB Kamalasan, comprising of 200 police personnel participated in the operation at Kattel Mandi and Muralidhar Bagh areas under Abids police station limits and took six suspects into custody for questioning and about 15 two wheelers and an auto-rickshaw were seized in the search operation.
