Hyderabad: The police on Saturday said prohibitory orders under Section 144 crPC will be imposed to prevent possible untoward incidents or group clash in RNS colony at Boduppal under Medipally police station limits. The police decided to take precautionary measure following difference between two groups of a same community over the establishment of Venkateshwara Veda Pathasala in the residential area.

It is alleged that on November 23, Bommak Murali, the producer of ‘Sharanam Gachami’ movie and resident of the colony, visited the Veda Pathasala and demanded that Shashibhushan Sharma, its president, shut it. Alleging that the Pathasala with 32 students was causing sound pollution, Murali also questioned the relevance of the school in modern times.

Later Sharma registered complaint against Murali in Medipally police, alleging that latter abused him. It triggered a row with a group of people staging protest and demanding the arrest of Murali. Murali’s supporters reportedly planned a protest on Sunday. His supporters have allegedly started posting abusive messages on social media against school’s principal.

Rachakonda Police Commissioner M Mahesh Bhagwat issued orders to impose 144 CrPC, prohibiting assembly of people and staging protests. He warned that any violation of the order would be severely dealt with.
