This constituent college of the University of Delhi sees a huge line of applicants year after year, all of whom eagerly wait to see their names on the display board. To be called a ‘Stephanian’ is a matter of great pride for any student. Only the best are handpicked and given an opportunity to study here. The controversies surrounding this college in all these years have not acted as deterrents. Every student, especially from Delhi, still fights for it.
The long list of alumni consisting of famous politicians, journalists, directors and writers is worth a look for a dose inspiration. The college has recently been back in the news for its fee hike. With operational costs increasing by the year, the institute has decided to implement a uniform hike in fees for all courses. While the cost of course fee has now been increased by Rs 3635/-, the hostel fees has now been hiked by Rs 2050/-.
However, the edge it provides its students in terms of national and global exposure and the quality peer network its candidates enjoy are undeniable advantages. St Stephen is one college every student must consider if he wants to widen his horizons and study with the best peer group and faculty.
