Kathmandu: Four more tremors, including one measuring 5 on the Richter scale, rocked Nepal on Friday, spreading panic, officials said.

The National Seismological Centre said it recorded an earthquake of 5 magnitude with its epicentre between Dolakha and Sindhupalchok.

The European Mediterranean Seismological Centre and the US Geological Survey measured the quake at 4.9 on the Richter scale.

The fourth quake on Friday was of the magnitude of 4.8 in Sindhupalchock near Kathmandu.

All of them were described as aftershocks of the devastating April 25 earthquake that has killed nearly 8,000 people and injured thousands in the Himalayan nation.
